A new study reported in Science Daily concluded that tart cherry decreases joint pain and sore muscles in some breast cancer patients by reducing the musculoskeletal effects of aramatrase inhibitors. These inhibitors are a standard treatment for hormone receptive-positive breast cancer in postmenopausal women and help prevent recurrence by inhibiyting the action of amomatasew that is an enzymew that converts androgens to estrogens. Almopst half of women who use this treatment have joint and muscle pain that can be debilitating and may cause patients to stop treatment.
In the random, double-bind study women were plaqced in a group that received 1 ounce of tart cherry concentrate in 8 ounces of water dailyfor 6 weeks with a group who received a placebo. All had stage 1,2,3 non-metastatic breast cancer. The study continued through May 2016 to August 2018 and 60 patients were enrolled. Patients documented their pain intensity at the start of the study, weekly and at the end of the study. Patients who completed the study reported a 34.7% mean decrease in pain compared to 1.4% in the placebo group. Recearchers say the flavonoids and anthocyanins in the tart cherry have an anti-inflammatory properties that may play a role in reducing the side effects observed. There was a statistical significant difference in the pain levels experienced by patients in the group that received the tart cherry.

Connecting people with hope the way a sunflower always stands tall and connects with the sun.

My first guest, Dee Dee Ferguson, founded Connect4Hope after her mother was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2017. To give her mom and entire family hope, DeeDee wanted to find and share stories of others who had successfully healed from cancer, but she didn’t know where to turn. This led her to create Connect4Hope, where she shares stories of people who have successfully conquered terminal illness, in order to provide hope and inspiration to others. Through Connect4Hope, DeeDee is striving to unite people facing common challenges by eradicating fear and replacing it with hope. Her goal is to provide a virtual bridge to connect and support people in common situations worldwide and empower them with positivity, optimism and inspiration so they can survive their current health crises and thrive.
DeeDee grew up in a tight-knit New England community, which provided her with a great appreciation for relationships and the natural way people come together to support one another when challenges occur. Prior to discovering her true calling, she earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, a master’s degree from Columbia University and worked in Corporate America for 20 years. She is passionate about holistic health and is devoted to reading books on wellness and spirituality. Now she is combining her entrepreneurial spirit with her passion for community and well-being to be of service to others and bring much-needed hope to this world.

Richard Gordon Discovers Proof of Energetic Interconnectivity and Impact on Matter Through Experiments Anyone Can Do
When Richard Gordon was evolving the acclaimed Quantum-Touch healing technique that today is practiced by 1,400 certified practitioners around the globe in 50 countries, doctors were saying it was impossible to permanently align the occipital bone at the base of the skull and “pelvic torsion”—twisted hips where one is higher than the other. Let alone do it without manipulating the patient! Yet, it became readily apparent that Gordon’s Quantum-Touch methodology could do just that.
Now, that easy-to-learn, seemingly-miraculous correction has opened an astonishing doorway on the Nature of Matter. Gordon demonstrated he could pass this healing energy from person to person or from object to object, using a series of simple experiments that anyone could do by following the directions in his newest book The Secret Nature of Matter.
Richard Gordon is considered a pioneer in the field of energy medicine, with more than 40 years of experience. He is the author of four best-selling books, now published in 17 languages. Gordon attended the Christos School of Natural Medicine, had been on faculty at Heartwood Institute and the Holistic Health Institute. With certified practitioners of his work in over 50 countries, Richard’s work was praised by Dr. C. Norman Shealy (founding President of the American Holistic Medical Association) as “The first technique that may truly allow us all to become healers.”
Richard is the bestselling author of Quantum-Touch: The Power to Heal, now published in 17 languages, and Your Healing Hands – The Polarity Experience, available in 10 languages.

Mara Gordon, founder, Chief Process Engineer, specializes in the development of cannabis extract treatment protocols for seriously ill patients in California. She is the co-founder of Aunt Zelda’s, Calla Spring Wellness, and Zelda Therapeutics.
Prior to Aunt Zelda’s, Mara worked as a process engineer, helping Fortune 500 companies create intelligent software by utilizing the Rational Unified Process. This experience has enabled her to take a detailed and scientific approach to medical cannabis.

With CDRMed, physicians and medical health professionals are able to make treatment recommendations based on the latest and highest-quality data. This takes the guesswork out of selecting the correct medicines at the dispensary.
Gordon sits on the boards of Zelda Therapeutics, Daya Foundation, International Cannabis Standards Board (ICSB), and Hmbldt. She has presented at multiple CME-accredited medical conferences, including Patients Out of Time 2014, and at POT 2016, delivered a 3.5 hour course along with Drs Cristina Sanchez, Manuel Guzman, and Joe D. Goldstrich. Gordon has spoken at medical cannabis conferences in Australia, Costa Rica, Chile, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Israel, as well as numerous events throughout the USA and worldwide. These include CannMed held at Harvard Medical School in April 2016, and Medical Marijuana for Professionals 2014 and 2016. A new study published in Mayo Clinic Proceedings reported on a review of U.S,. Clinical Trials by scientists at the National Institute of Health that concluded some of the most popular complementary health approaches such as yoga, tai chi and acupuncture seem to be effective tools for helping to manage common pain conditions. Researchers say “For many Americans who suffer chronic pain, medications may not completely relieve pain and can produce unwanted side effects. As a result, many people may turn to nondrug approaches to help manage their pain.”
Researchers reviewed 105 U.S.-based randomized controlled trials, from the past 50 years, that were related to patients’ pain in the United States and met criteria for inclusion. No side effects due to the interventions were reported. The review of trials focused on 7 approaches used for one or more of five painful conditions–back pain, osteoartritis, neck pain, fibromyalgia, severe headache, and migraine. The following were both safe and effective for pain management: 1) Acupuncture and yoga for back pain: 2) acupuncture and tai chi for osteoarthritis of the knee; 3) Massage therapy for neck pain with adequate doses and for shot-term benefits,; and 4) relaxation techniques for severe headache and migraine. Additional findings that were weak included massage therapy, spinal manipulation and osteopathic manipulation may provide some help for back pain, and tai chi may help people with fibromyalgia. Researchers concluded “It is important that continued research explore hoiw these approaches actually work and whether these findings apply broadly in diverse clinical settings and patient populations.”
