Research published in the RTI Press concluded that e cigarette harmful emissions contain enough nicotine, and numerous other chemicals to cause concern to smokers and non-smokers. A non-user, may be exposed to secondhand aerosol particles similar in size to tobacco smoke and diesel engine smoke.  In addition, E-products are not regulated and the chemicals and devices involved vary widely and so may the potential harmful impact to users and non-users. Thus, the need to explore the composition of e-cigarette vapor and the potential health impact of  secondhand exposure  Researchers said “We need to be aggressively investing in and conducting research that answers lingering questions about the potential health impact of secondhand exposure to e-cigarettes, while taking the necessary action to protect public health now.”
